Dentures Don’t Have

To Look Like Dentures
Anymore!®

Fountain of Youth Dentures® are different than traditional dentures. They’re designed to work with the muscles and structure of your jaw, face, and neck rather than just being a foreign object in your mouth. Traditional dentures are shaped by the dentist, which could be a good thing—or not if your dentist isn’t an experienced denture dentist. That’s why many people get uncomfortable dentures that don’t fit the proportions of their faces.

FOY® dentures are different. Instead of simply sitting on your gums and replacing the look of teeth, they’re made to move with your mouth and replace the function and harmony of your teeth. All FOY® denture dentists are trained in crafting these neuromuscular dentures. When you choose a FOY denture dentist, you know you’re getting a trained and skilled denture dentist.

When it comes to FOY® dentures vs. traditional dentures, there are two main differences: FOY® dentures are made with a neuromuscular and cosmetic focus.

FOY® Dentures are Neuromuscular Dentures

Neuromuscular dentistry is a focus that takes into account more than just your teeth. Instead, the dentist focuses on your teeth, muscles, and joints as an interconnected system. Each one affects the other, and having dentures that replace and work with these three components is important for your dentures’ function, health, and appearance.

The FOY® denture process includes dynamic impressions of your muscles because your dentures are designed to function even in movement. Your dentures will ensure that while you’re talking, eating, laughing, and smiling, your muscles, joints, and dentures work in harmony. For you, this means no sore gums, headaches, or neck pain. It also means your dentures will stay in place while you move your mouth to eat and talk, and your dentures distribute the force of chewing evening along your jawbone.

The roots of your natural teeth had a purpose other than holding your teeth in place. They also stimulate your jawbone. When there is no stimulation, your jawbone starts to shrink from not being used. This creates cosmetic problems and shrinks the proportions of your face making it hard to talk and eat. If you are considering switching to Fountain of Youth dentures after wearing traditional dentures for years, you’ve likely lost some of the height of your face. These neuromuscular dentures restore the full height of your teeth and gums and allow your body to work in harmony once again. FOY® dentures don’t only restore your teeth; they restore wellness.

FOY® Dentures are Cosmetic Dentures

Traditional dentures restore the “look” of teeth without much function, but their appearance isn’t top-notch either. For FOY® dentures, the appearance of your teeth is a primary concern. That’s why the creator of the Denture Fountain of Youth, Rod Strickland, studied the principles of facial proportions and beauty. He understands that to feel good, you have to look good, and your teeth and the proportions of your face play a significant role.

FOY® dentures restore the full height of your teeth and gums even after your jawbone has degraded due to not being stimulated. Because of this, you can enjoy a full, youthful face and avoid:

  • Thin lips

  • Sunken cheeks

  • Wrinkles around the mouth

  • Fold between the lips and chin

  • Jowls

  • Turkey neck and double chin

Many people view FOY® dentures as a non-surgical facelift because they do so much to restore your youthful appearance. Fountain of Youth Dentures is the best cosmetic denture money can buy.

FOY® denture dentists also know that not everyone is the same. Your face doesn’t look the same as someone else’s, so each denture is custom to each individual. Instead of looking like an entirely new person after getting dentures, you’ll recognize yourself again. You’ll look in the mirror, and staring back at you will be the old you, you’ve been missing.

FOY® dentures are also made of a different material than traditional dentures. The teeth on FOY® dentures are made of an advanced ceramic material that mimics the brightness and luster of natural teeth. They’re stain, odor, and wear-resistant, and the gums look like natural gum tissue.

Secure, Comfortable, Beautiful Dentures

Many people are unhappy with traditional dentures. A common complaint is that their dentures don’t stay in place. This not only leads to dentures slipping out of place at embarrassing times, but it can also make it hard to bite and chew normally. Plus, slipping and sliding dentures can cause denture pain.

Implant dentures combat these problems and more. Implants secure dentures in the mouth. The implants are attached to your jawbone, similar to natural teeth, so they are stable and improve your ability to bite and chew.

Implant Denture Benefits

Implant dentures are becoming a popular alternative to traditional dentures because they offer so many benefits. With implant dentures, you’ll enjoy:

  • Dentures that don’t slip, fall out or click

  • Improved biting and chewing force

  • The ability to bite and chew normally

  • Preservation of jawbone and gums

  • Slower aging

  • More comfortable dentures

  • The ability to choose between fixed or removable dentures

Traditional dentures just sit on your gums, held in place by suction. This makes them likely to slide around in the mouth. The dentures can slip out of place when you’re talking, making them click or cause them to fall out entirely. Sitting on your gums reduces the amount of force your dentures can provide. Dental implants secure your dentures and can pass force to your jawbone so you can have a stronger bite.

Part of the reason people look older with dentures is that once your teeth are gone, your body starts to remove jawbone with little purpose. Implants stimulate your jawbone, so your body preserves it. Since the loss of bone contributes to facial aging, this can help you look younger longer, especially with FOY® Dentures.

Dental implants prevent dentures from putting too much pressure on your gums, and when they’re not sliding around, they don’t rub or pinch your gums. This makes implant dentures more comfortable.

With implant dentures, you can choose whether you want them to be removable or fixed so only your dentist can remove them.

How Implant Dentures Work

Implant dentures attach to dental implants in the jawbone. Dental implants work like artificial tooth roots. Once placed in your jaw, the body grows bone around the implant. Bone even attaches to the implant, so it’s part of your jawbone. This makes them essentially permanent. More than 90% of dental implants last at least 20 years and some implants last over 50 years with proper care.

Implant dentures can attach to and work with dental implants in several ways:

  • Removable implant dentures

  • Fixed implant dentures

  • Implant-retained dentures

  • Implant-supported dentures

Your denture dentist can help you decide which type of dentures is best for you.

Removable Implant Dentures

Removable implant dentures attach to dental implants so you can put them in and take them out yourself. Several attachments exist that provide different balances of ease of removal and denture stability.

Fixed Implant Dentures

Your implant dentist attaches fixed implant dentures, and you can’t remove them on your own. These can maximize support from implants and bite strength, but they are harder to maintain.

Implant-Retained Dentures

Implant-retained dentures mostly use dental implants to hold them in place. Most of the force of biting and chewing still rests on the gums. These use fewer dental implants, so they are less expensive, but they don’t maximize the benefits of dental implants.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures use dental implants to stay in place and direct most biting and chewing force directly into the jawbone rather than on the gums. These require more dental implants, but they maximize the benefits of implant dentures.

FOY® Dentures Make Great Implant Dentures

Not all implant dentures are created equal. Your choice of implant denture can make a big difference to your experience. FOY® Dentures offer many benefits for implant denture wearers.

First, your FOY® Dentures dentist fits them, so they create a harmonious relationship between your joints, muscles, and teeth. In many cases, traditional dentures come out of place because they don’t fit properly with the way your jaw moves. Implant dentures resist coming out of place. This doesn’t mean they fit better; it just moves the problems of poor fit to other complications. Poorly fitting implant dentures might break early or cause sore jaw muscles, neck pain, or headaches. Other times, they lead to implant problems.

The better fit helps FOY® Dentures rejuvenate your appearance. They reduce sunken cheeks, thin lips, jowls, wrinkles, and more. This works synergistically with dental implants to help you look younger longer.
